Publishing
Publish & Share
When your story is ready, publish it to get a public link. Anyone can read your story without a YarnSaga account.
Publishing a Story
In the story editor, click the Publish button in the top toolbar. Your story is published immediately and a public URL is generated.
Published stories are accessible at:
yarnsaga.com/story/[story-id]The public story page shows your cover image, all story pages in order, and allows readers to browse panel by panel.
Sharing
Once published, open the Share modal in the editor to copy your story's link. Share it directly on social media, in messages, or embed it anywhere.
Readers don't need an account to view published stories — the link works for anyone.
Unpublishing
You can unpublish a story at any time from the story settings. Once unpublished, the public URL will no longer be accessible. Your story data is preserved and you can republish it later.
Tip — Add a cover before publishing
Stories with a cover image look much more polished on the public page and in social media previews. Go to the Cover tab, describe your cover scene, and generate it before publishing.
What Readers See
The public story page displays your cover image at the top, followed by all pages in order. Readers can browse panel by panel or scroll through the full story. The layout is optimized for both desktop and mobile — no app download required.
Your story title, cover, and the first page automatically generate an Open Graph preview, so when you share the link on social media, platforms like X, Facebook, and Discord show a rich preview card with your cover image.
Re-publishing After Edits
After publishing, you can continue editing your story. Any changes you make are saved immediately in the editor but are not visible on the public page until you publish again. Click Publish again whenever you want to push an updated version live.
The public URL stays the same — your readers don't need a new link when you update your story.
Exporting Your Story
In addition to publishing a public link, you can export your story as a PDF or download individual panel images. Use the Export option in the story settings to choose your format. PDF export preserves your page layout and is suitable for print or digital distribution outside of YarnSaga.
